  • Parliament winter session: Last week the Rajya Sabha faced constant disruption and adjournment as opposition parties created a ruckus against the suspension of 12 MPs.

The Parliament will reconstitute on Monday for day 5 of the ongoing winter session proceedings. In Rajya Sabha, the Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya will move two bills for consideration and passing.

These bills are the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill, 2021 and the Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill, 2020. Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman is also expected to address the house today.

Meanwhile, opposition leaders from various political parties will meet at the office of the Rajya Sabha Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge to chalk out the strategy for the floor.

The upper house of the Parliament has been seeing constant disruption over the suspension of 12 MPs. The leaders of opposition parties have been protesting against the suspension of their fellow colleagues. Multiple adjournments were also seen as the opposition party members created a ruckus, demanding the house to revoke the order.
