Dhokla is very Popular recipes of Gujrat. People like to eat dhokla as a snack and enjoy with a cup of hot tea. it becomes an ideal snack for all those who prefer low calorie diet food. you can easily make this recipe at home.
Gram Flour- 2 Cups
Yogurt – 1 Cup
Green Chilli-Ginger Paste- 1 Teaspoon
Soda bicarbonate- 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder- 1/2 Teaspoon
Mustard Seeds-1 Teaspoon
Oil- 2 Tablespoons
Lemon juice-1 Tablespoon
Chopped Coriander leaves- 2 Tablespoons
Scraped Coconut- 1/2 Cup
Salt to taste
- Take gram flour in a bowl and add yogurt then mix one cup of warm water but Keep in mind avoid lumps. Add salt and mix well again.
Leave it aside to ferment for three to four hours. when mixture has fermented, add turmeric powder and green chilli-ginger paste and mix well. Heat the steamer. Grease a thali.
Take lemon juice, soda bicarbonate, oil in a small bowl. Add it to the batter and whisk briskly. Pour batter into the greased thali and place it in the steamer.
Cover with the lid and steam for 10 minutes. wait for little cool, cut into squares and serving in a plate.
5.Heat remaining oil and Add mustard seeds. When the seeds begin to crackle, remove and pour over the dhoklas.
- Garnished with coriander leaves and scraped coconut.
